Dr. Frank Crim Compassion Fund for Children with Cancer

The Dr. Frank Crim Compassion Fund for Children with Cancer was established by Betty and Phil Bentley in honor of their dear friend, Dr. Crim. The purpose of the fund is to provide for the special needs of children with cancer and blood disorders who are being treated at Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children’s St. Jude Affiliate Clinic.

Donations to the Dr. Frank Crim Fund help provide computer games, toys and activities for children undergoing chemotherapy and other treatments at the clinic, as well as gift certificates to movie theaters, ice cream parlors, athletic events and restaurants for patients and their families to enjoy. In addition, donations are also used for financial assistance towards tutoring services and other needs; “No Mo Chemo” parties for patients who have completed their treatment; a “Wall of Heroes” celebrating pediatric cancer survivors; and college scholarships for survivors.
