The Millennium Society, established in 2004, is a group of philanthropic women who represent all segments of the community and support Huntsville Hospital Foundation with generous charitable gifts. The mission of the Millennium Society is to create solutions and to make a difference in the lives of Huntsville Hospital’s patients: our neighbors, co-workers, children and grandchildren… and those we don’t even know. In doing so, we continue the legacy that began in 1895 when the Ladies of the United Charities established the Huntsville Infirmary, a hospital that has grown to be one of the largest in the country, and one that consistently raises the standard of care provided for patients across north Alabama.
Membership is open to all women interested in supporting the advancement of health care in north Alabama. The only membership requirements are a $1,000 annual contribution and a willingness to designate the gift to benefit the hospital department selected for funding support that year.
Volunteerism, philanthropy and strong community support have always been the cornerstones of our hospital and thanks to our Millennium Society members, this wonderful legacy continues for the good of our community!
