A Legacy of Care and Compassion: Dr. Anne Marie Reidy and Tom Reidy

“We have supported Huntsville Hospital for many years, so we saw this as an extension of that effort. We have each created our own legacies through our work—mine through medicine and Tom’s through his extensive work with the Scottsboro Boys Museum. Together, we want to leave a legacy of generosity and support in our community.”

Anne Marie Reidy, MD, JD, has spent her life caring for others. As the founder of Women4Women OBGYN, her work has brought thousands of babies into the world and supported women at every stage of life. Her husband, Tom, is well known for his passionate advocacy and leadership with the Scottsboro Boys Museum, preserving vital history and championing justice.

Now, the Reidys are ensuring their impact continues well beyond their lifetimes through a planned gift to Huntsville Hospital Foundation.

“We have supported Huntsville Hospital for many years, so we saw this as an extension of that effort,” said Dr. Reidy. “We have each created our own legacies through our work—mine through medicine and Tom’s through his extensive work with the Scottsboro Boys Museum. Together, we want to leave a legacy of generosity and support in our community.”

Their planned gift is designated to support women receiving OBGYN care at Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children, a cause close to Dr. Reidy’s heart.

“There are many needs in that area,” she said. “If we can help fulfill some of them, we’ll improve the health of moms-to-be and their babies.”

The Reidys are intentional about where and how they give, choosing causes that align with their core values of racial equity, economic equity and gender equality.

“A gift to the Huntsville Hospital Foundation touches all of these,” said Dr. Reidy. “As a not-for-profit hospital, Huntsville Hospital serves everyone equally. Our funds will help it continue that mission.”

We are deeply grateful for the Reidys’ vision and generosity—and their belief in the power of planning ahead to create lasting good.

You don’t have to be a physician to leave a legacy. Anyone can make a planned gift to support health and healing in our community for generations to come.
