A native of Huntsville, Lynne is a graduate of Lee High School and Vanderbilt University. Prior to joining the Foundation, Lynne served as Executive Director of the HudsonAlpha Foundation. She was the founding executive director of the Community Foundation of Huntsville/Madison County. She has served in the offices of former Congressman Bud Cramer and Senator Jeff Sessions and has been a high school teacher and a NASA department head. She has also worked in positions that promoted Huntsville’s tourist attractions, preserved its historic sites, and protected the area’s natural environment.
Lynne serves on the Alabama Department of Archives and History Foundation Board, the board of the Blackburn Institute at the University of Alabama, the Huntsville Housing Authority Advisory Board, and Village of Promise Board. She was in Class 1 of Leadership Huntsville and is a past board chair, and was in Class 3 of Leadership Alabama and is past board chair. She serves on the board of the Committee of 100 and is past board chair.
Lynne is passionate about Huntsville Hospital. She served as a member of the Health Care Authority from 1993 to 1999 and proposed and served as the first chair of Huntsville Hospital’s Jean Wessel Templeton Community Health Initiative in 1996.
